| Description | Ras al Khaima issued a series of stamps, including this stamp with a reproduction of Marcello Bacciarelli's painting ‘Napoleon Establishes the Constitution of the Grand Duchy of Warsaw’ (on the right side). The court painter of King Stanisław August commemorated the signing in Dresden on 22 July 1807 of the Constitution, which created the foundations of modern Polish statehood. This painting, intended for the Knight's Hall of the Royal Castle in Warsaw, was lost around 1914. On the stamp and on the margins there is the title of the painting in French and additionally ‘Musóe National Varsovie’. |
